International Youth Conference on Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technologies 2020

On July 10-11, 2020, the YETI-2020 conference was held at the Peter the Great Polytechnic University, where young scientists discussed current problems and major achievements in the field of electronics, telecommunications, information technology, and photonics.

The YETI-2020 conference was held for young researchers and scientists just starting out in the scientific field. Organizing the opportunity for young researchers to exchange experiences and the latest achievements help researchers to continue to develop, as well as to find new ideas.  The conference has been held for the second year and this time attracted even more researchers from various fields of science.  The conference was attended by scientists from China, Armenia, India, Spain, Germany, and other countries.

Among the topics discussed at the conference were issued on electronics and nanotechnology, photonics and optical information, information technology, and signal processing, telecommunications and navigation systems.  In each area discussed, the best oral and poster presentation was selected.

Irena Danglyan is currently working as a design engineer in Armenia.  For her work "The Band Gap Controllability of Boron Nitride Nanotube with Carbon Atoms" she received the diploma of the best speaker in the section "Electronics and Nanotechnology".  Irena notes: “I received my engineering education at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and was very happy to take part in the YETI-2020 conference.  It was interesting to listen to the reports of other participants, but I think that the most important result of the conference was the questions asked to the participants.  These questions and scientific discussions make us think differently, look at our own research from a new angle.  I hope that such conferences will be held by Polytechnic University more and more often ”.

Conference materials have been submitted to Springer's journal and are planned to be published by the end of 2020. A total of 85 articles were accepted for publication. More, than 30 works were prepared in collaboration with foreign colleagues.
