On July 6-11, 2020, the Summer School Space Technologies 2020 was held at the Polytechnic University for the third time. Despite the online format, the training at the school caused a lot of pleasant impressions among the students.
This year, the students got the opportunity to show creativity and engineering ingenuity in the framework of group projects for the development of nanosatellites. The goal of the project was to develop a nanosatellite that solves a specific scientific or applied problem. When choosing the best projects, both the elaboration of the technical part and the thoughtfulness of the economic component of the project, as well as the originality of the idea and presentation of the material, were taken into account. Participants of 4 teams fought for the victory, the best was the project “Earthkeepers. Always on the Lookout for Your Safety”, in which students of the school proposed and described a system for automatic prompt notification of natural disasters (fires, floods, etc.) in remote corners of the planet.
In total, 18 students from India, China, Brazil, Bahrain, and EU countries took part in the school.
