At the International Polytechnic Summer School, which was held from July 15 to 28, the Higher School of Applied Physics and Space Technologies presented the program "Biomedical Engineering", developed jointly with the University of Leibniz (Hanover, Germany). The teachers of the program are prof. Doctor of Engineering Science Birgit Glazmacher and Associate Professor, Ph.D. Victoria Kapralova.
This interdisciplinary and international program is being implemented for the second year and is popular among the audience. In 2019 there were 25 people from 12 countries of Europe, Asia and America!
For two weeks the students attended lectures on topical issues of biomedical engineering (advanced materials for Biomedicine, tissue engineering, cryopreservation technology, implants and artificial organs), worked in international groups and have produced interesting projects, visited research laboratories, participated in the cultural program of the summer school and learned a few Russian words.
In the future, we plan to add more practices, to include work in the laboratory and make our program even more interesting!
