This Seminar is organized by the Institute of Physics, Nanotechnology and Telecommunications, PETER THE GREAT SAINT PETERSBURG POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY, where Alexander Friedmann was working as a Professor during the period from 1920 to 1925, i.e., at the time when he created the theory of expanding Universe.
The objective of the meeting is to promote contacts between scientists working in the field of Relativity, Gravitation and Cosmology and related fields. It is well known that the important role in Gravitation and Cosmology is played by the Casimir effect. To underline this, special Symposia devoted to this effect have been included in the Programs of the 7th, 8th, and 9th Friedmann Seminars. The Casimir effect is a multidisciplinary subject. Its applications extend from gravitation and cosmology to the van der Waals forces, materials properties, precise measurements and nanotechnology.

The Proceedings of the Tenth Friedmann Seminar and Fourth Casimir Symposium will be published as a special issue of the Journal indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. All details concerning the preparation and submission of manuscripts will be posted in due time at the website.
